Martiene Stevens is renowned for her mystical art with an Asian influence. She predominantly works with polished stoneware, bronze, wood, and sepia art. In her recent work, she increasingly refrains from casting the wooden sculptures in bronze. Her primary source of inspiration is nature. She crafts her pieces from decaying wood sections, which serve as the foundation for the eventual sculpture. This approach brings her closer to the enigmatic, leaving no room for preconceived notions.
