Fabula is a crime comedy with a touch of fantasy, folklore, and magical realism. The story revolves around the unfortunate Jos, a washed-up criminal from a family haunted by misfortune. Determined to uncover the cause of his eternal bad luck, Jos embarks on a personal quest while preparing for his new role as a grandfather.
Set against the rich historical backdrop of Limburg, the film follows Jos on his journey, meeting colourful characters who may or may not help him. With stellar acting by Fedja van Huêt, Fabula explores the depths of desire, passion, and musical fire.
During the Euregion Film Forum, Fabula will have its Limburg premiere, with director Michiel ten Horn present for a CineTalk after the screening.
