The Hague has its Panorama Mesdag, Franeker the Planetarium by Eise Eisinga and Maastricht has the ‘Kamer van de Gedachtenmechanica’ in the Chapel of Imagination.
On the ground floor at the entrance you enter the Historische Drukkerij, an old printing house with printing presses and materials from around 1900, the artist’s studio, with a unique collection of prints in which old graphic techniques of relief printing, intaglio printing and planographic printing play a role.
By continuing along the museum route, various museum rooms lead to the upper room of the chapel building. Here you will find the large hidden work of art the ‘Kamer van de Gedachtenmechanica’, which is about the phenomenon of inspiration. The room is a total work of art by the artist René Glaser. The room consists of separate works of art, elements that together form a large work of art. The covered courtyard connects the 2 historic buildings of the museum. Take a break and experience the hidden location in the city center of Maastricht.
