Cafe de Zwaan is a bar-restaurant with a rich history. Since 1901, located on the Market opposite the old town hall. For over a hundred years, a meeting place at the marketsquare of Maastricht. Inside our cozy brown cafe you feel really welcome as a guest. Our friendly and professional staff create a cozy atmosphere, serving attractive and tasty dishes with a regional touch, good coffee, quality wines and more than 35 special beers. Our chefs John and Dave work hard every day with their team to prepare regional dishes. Many regular guests visit us for our sandwiches, homemade soups, stews, vegetarian dishes and of course our meat and fish dishes. If you love special Belgium and Dutch beers we are the right place for a visit. We serve the local Brand Pils and 7 extra beers from the draft including for example a Westmalle Dubbel Trappist and two extra seasonal beers. In addition we serve about 30 special beers from the bottle including several Trappists and unusual beers like Witkap Tripel, Barbar or St Bernardus Abt 12. Almost every Thursday at 22:00 there is the Zwaanzinnige Jazz jam. Live jazz performed by students of the conservatorium and their guests. Cafe de Zwaan seats inside 90 guests. Outside on the terrace there is place for another 100 guests. On our first floor Etage we have a nice private dining room for about 30 guests overlooking City Hall and Market Square.
