An evening of enchanting dance with Four Schumann Pieces and The Fairy's Kiss.
The Dutch National Ballet presents two acclaimed classics: Hans van Manen's romantic Four Schumann Pieces and Alexei Ratmansky's poetic The Fairy's Kiss.
Four Schumann Pieces, it has been one of the most popular ballets since its inception. Van Manen wanted to create a choreography centered on the “ballerino” surrounded by five dance couples. The male soloist goes through different emotional stages and is eventually left alone, giving the choreography a romantic twist.
The Fairy's Kiss, the story follows a boy who is saved during a snowstorm by a fairy's kiss and later, on the night before the wedding, is claimed by her.
