The Counterpoints bring music that revives the historical connection between Italy and the British Isles.
Around 1700, wealthy people, artists and musicians travelled widely to learn, trade and spot trends. The Counterpoints, an ensemble that met while studying Early Music at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague, performs music that recalls the special connection between Italy and the British Isles. They are now beloved guests on domestic and foreign stages, sharing their passion for early music. Their first album, featuring music by Telemann, was very well received and received the prestigious title Editor's Choice in Gramophone magazine.
