The tradition of the Mastreechter Staat's Christmas concert on Boxing Day is almost as old as the choir itself. This year, the men of the Staar will once again sing of the birth of the Christ child, with a repertoire that ranges from the velvety sounds of “Silent Night” to the jubilant tones of resounding bells when the miracle has occurred.
Under the leadership of conductor Hennie Ramaekers and pianist Michiel Ballhaus, the Mastreechter Staar has experienced impressive growth over the past two years, both in quality and quantity. This development has only strengthened the famous men's choir.
This year's Christmas concert is dedicated to a new beginning, inspired by the birth of Christ which marks the start of our era. Come enjoy a wonderful concert that brings the magic of Christmas to life with enchanting song and musical splendor.
