Ivgi & Greben - Small People

Small People is an expressive dance performance depicting the complexity of life and human struggle. The piece, created by renowned choreographers Uri Ivgi and Johan Greben, is performed by a talented group of eight dancers. Together, they perform a dynamic mix of visual and emotional dance steeped in tragedy, humour and hope.

The performance begins with the dancers moving in sync, as a metaphor for the collective human experience. Their movements are fluid and harmonious, symbolising the connection and cooperation between people. Suddenly, one dancer breaks out of the group with a powerful and energetic solo. This solo symbolises individual freedom and the desire to break free from the constraints of everyday life.

Throughout the performance, solos, duets and group dances alternate. Each choreographic section tells part of the human story, focusing on themes such as cooperation, individual freedom, desire and hope.
