Throughout the performance, solos, duets and group dances alternate. Each choreographic section tells part of the human story, focusing on themes such as cooperation, individual freedom, desire and hope. The dancers bring these themes to life with an expressive and visual style that is both moving and refreshing.

The performance plays with the way we see ourselves as human beings. Sometimes this is approached in a serious way, while at other times a wink can be detected. This makes Small People a lively and multifaceted piece that takes the audience on an emotional journey through the human experience.
